suggestions on next purchase. selling truck, wtb a semi-fast 4 door
to be honest, i wouldnt get a VW, at least not an older one. They will be nothing but a hassle and really expensive to fix. If anything, get one from the new generation, they havent had many problems, but then again it hasnt been long enough to tell. VWs usually crap out after about 5 years or so. Just throwin that out there, but it's ultimately your decision.
Listen to the whole thing and see if you're not in tears.

Shit....I saw a 03 Cobra for 18K with 7*K miles..
But you want 4 doors with speed?
PRobably an SRT4 would be the cheapest

You could get a regular WRX, but watch that 5spd trans. *BOOM*
Mazdaspeed Protege's are fun and IMO have a superior chassis to the SRT-4. One of the most fun and agile FWD vehicles ever made.
German cars scare me because I know nothing about them and the ownership costs seem stratospheric. I've never had one so I'm probably wrong.
How about buying a $5,000 94-96 LT1 Cadillac Fleetwood? It'll give you $10k left over to supercharge it, throw on Impala SS Suspension, C5 vette brakes, bolt ons, Torq Thrust IIs, Sticky Tires, and whatever else. Not exactly agile, but on a certain neanderthal level.....4500lb 450hp V8 missiles are fun!
Besides, you could probably fit an SRT-4 or WRX INSIDE a Fleetwood, lol.
