Default Toyota Camry question

Just wanted to introduce myself to the forum and get some advice if possible. I just came up to VA last month from Florida to help out some family up here.

Had some work done on my 1991 Camry last October by my mechanic, new tires put on in December and then February had more work done on it. Everything was fine unitl about 3 weeks ago my engine blew. I am looking to sell parts or the car itself wondering what some of your opinions are best value to do.

Its currently in storage and the parts are good, many of them recently installed, except for the engine and an air compressor. Any advice would be appreciated as kinda stuck up here until I can get a new car. Thanks alot

I am thinking selling parts, I put a general thread in the parts area here but still learning all the terms not sure how to better advertise it. I have lots of pictures of the car parts that I took as well as mechanic reciepts is there a better way to advertise this stuff other then 1991 Toyota Camry parts?

is it the camry alltrac? the four wheel drive version?

you could always replace your 3sfe for about $250 or you could upgrade to the 5sfe from the newer camry or n/a MR2 for about the same price. it would definately be easier and much smarter to replace the engine rather than sell it as is. after yo ureplace it, you could easily get $1500 for the car for a quick sale.

Except, from reading his post, it sounds unlikely that he'll replace the engine himself.
