suggestions on next purchase. selling truck, wtb a semi-fast 4 door
i need some help from the people that own these cars.
im looking at selling my truck 2000 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 and purchasing a somewhat fast 4 door.
i need more room and truck space is essential for fire-fighting gear. also would like to get decent gas mileage but i will sacrifice.
im looking at the following:
03-04 Volkswagen Jetta 24v VR6 procharged. 55,--- miles, $12,000
Dodge Neon SRT 4, dont have any specified yet.
Subaru STi, dont have any specified yet.
an EVO is out of the question im not trying to spend that much, im looking to sell my truck around 10,000 and take out as much as 5,000 dollar loan to get what i want. so around about 15,000 is wat im looking to spend.
i like the jettas 6 speed tranny idea to keep rpms down for interstate driving.
but i would like to hear some suggestions if u have any.
thx

If you can't afford the Evo. You can't afford the STi.
And for 15k, you're not going to get either of them so yeah.
May I suggest..
e36 4dr M3.
B4 Audi S4.
MKIV Jetta GLI.
Impreza WRX (non STi).
Lexus IS300.
MB C43 AMG.
Some of these cars are going to cost you more to own than to initially buy and vice versa so...pick a car and research.

Ditto on the Evo/STi comments.
And the O2M 6-speed transmission in the Jetta doesn't really keep the revs any lower than the O2J 5-speed transmission.

Out of the three that you narrowed it down to I would say go with the SRT4. Not only wil a used STI not be around $15k, but "I need room" and STI should not be used in the same sentence. The SRT is cheap, quick, and looks decent, I'd go with that............or a Legacy
