Talk to a lawyer, they'll know what the area deals are. In NC if you got the car registered before the court date they would dismiss it.

You shouldn't drive without insurance, illegal and irresponsible, but I don't know how people think the judge will find out to fine you (speaking of which, judges are charging people now?).

Seriously. Just because you got rid of the car doesnt mean they will drop the ticket.. If you had got it registered and insurance and the whole 9. They probably would have just said pay the court costs and be on your way.... Now they are going to make you pay all the fines. Which you should, because your a fucking idiot. No offense.
