All I have to say is Tokyo Drift. You didn't see STI's, NO. But you did see a 350z

j/p

I have drove both. I love the power that the STI had and the grip you get. But I like the way the 350z looked and drove. The 350z is a slow car out of the box but has a lot of potential. From what I read these motors are strong.

Call your insurance and see the cost of both.

4 door you can drive your friends around

2 door you can drive your girl around.

Or just get both and call it a day, that is if you are BOOC

350z will lower my insurance and STI will raise it.
13.7-14.0 isn't that slow? IMO
I don't drive my friends around, I have always had a 4 door, but never let people in the back seat... weird
I always drive my girl around
I have no clue what BOOC is, but if it means I can afford both, then I'm definatley not.

Haha
Thanks for the replies so far guys, I'll be making my purchase on Sat. looking for the right deal currently, I think whichever car I find it for first, i'll get it.

Can anyone provide more insight with owner experience?

Get a Rev UP Z or one of the newer 07+ Zs. The 07s make much more power to the wheel and are much more refined in every aspect possible. My 03 doesn't have oil consumption problems. But trust me on this, don't get an 03-04. I think the Rev Up became standard ~ 04.5+. It really comes down to what you want the car for. 4 doors, back seat and trunk space are something I miss with my car, but I love the way it looks and it is a pretty fun car. The impracticality just sucks though.

do you have any plans for the car other than daily driving?

I did have oil issues when I first got my 03, but I got a new motor from Nissan under warranty, and my car has been fine. There have been a small number of cars with this issue and Nissan has taken care of all the ones I have heard of.

As far as the "slow" comment, once again to all the mag fan boys it's not a fucking drag car! It can get decent times if well driven, but if quarter mile times are your goal in life, then you might want to look else where.

It's not slow on a road course doing what it was designed to do. I have proof.

negative, he already said in a previous post it would be cheaper with a Z. Mine went DOWN when I went from a 4 door Sentra to a Z.

As for driving experiance, it's great. I daily drive it sometimes and it's reliable and fun. Kind of stays under the radar of unwanted attention also.
I drive the crap out of it at the track about once a month, drive it back, change a couple of things, couldnt be happier. It's exactly what I was looking for.
