well I have driven a skyline before and yes they are nice they are quick but the g35 (Skyline GT350) has every right to deserve the name, just cuz it doesnt come with two turbos and have a gt-r badge doesnt mean it has potential. Do some research about the new VQ35HR nissan said the bottom end of the block can do really high HP more than the older RB26dett can and the g35 is more aerodynamic as well as lighter and that AWS (Super hicas) broke all the time half the time most owners would diable it.

the RB16DETT has a stronger bottom end than the VQ35 man...
why do you think they made so many 1000+ hp skylines...

How many 1000+ hp VQ35s do you know of running around?
The HICAS was a POS in any car they put it in, 300ZX, GT-R whatever, they always broke.

It seems like Nissan is up to something here, as this engine is much more beefy inside than in previous VQ engines.
Thats it right there... key word in bold.
But yes, i stand corrected.
I still dont think a skyline should be a V6 tho... not after all these decades.

yeah, they got me with that one... makes you think tho, imagine if they had kept developing the Neo6 RB26 form the R34?

I think the only reason they dropped that engine is because it was just 2.6 and to make it a 3.0 or bigger it would be taller, and a tall engine is harder to package in a car that you want to export in both LHD and RHD setups.

I thought the Neo VVL was a great and very effecient technology they had it in the sr20 and sr16 the Sr16VE N1 was put in the 2002 pulsar VZ-R and it was said it could safely support and flow 10500 rpms
