Re: what's the best b-series turbo kit to buy?
My experiances.
These are the kits/ setups i have had personally.
greddy 18g : all-around best kit for a daily-driven, weekend warrior.
I say this because...best traction, a/c & p/s compatible, you can make up to 300whp on this kit. I really enjoyed my Greddy kit and i have had it on a 92' eg w/ b16 - 00' EM1 w/ITR - 95' GSR
Nuekin manfiold, t3 60-1 :
Good in a flying mile, or track use. Power band for street use was ass. No power below 4500...spinning above. Great on slicks and low boost.
Nuekin manifold, gt3251e: Better for street than the 60-1, not as unpredictable. Easier to make power than the greddy, cost me a little more to put together.
Revhard complete kit: Blew my motor, deltagate went bad and i spiked to 22lbs on stock b16. Never like the kit, pain in the ass to install, had an open dumptube, hit hood under hard accelaration.
Currently i have a one-fab setup with a gt30r...haven't run it yet though.
IMO: go with the greddy kit. CARB legal, easy to install, good useable power band, upgradeable.......I really loved this kit, light to light.
Some people claim spiking issues with the greddy kit, if you tap the comp. housing for your vacuum source, it fixes that problem.
I haven't used an inline personally, everyone i know that has has loved it though. Still get a violent power onset though...

Top notch construction and some of the best welds in the business, hands down. Do you plan on keeping AC? What kind of radiator do you have-half or full. These may force you to go in one direction or another. Cast manifolds are cheaper, more durable, and most will allow the use of AC, PS and a full size radiator. The Full-race will make more power, better spool, but some wont work with ac or larger radiators, and cost quite a bit more. Talk to Terry(Boostfed). He'll hook you up. Awsome prices.

Uh we need to do a custom turbo kit for you, I need you to come by my house tonight. Drop the car and keys off and I will need it for about a year, I have to drive her around , take her to the track and get a feel for where the powerband is on that sweet BMW! Then put out a game plan as I daily drive it delivering packages in the BMW then we can work something out. You need to let you insurance company know I will be driving it for about a year too.
BTW I was just kidding! I am unsure of any kits available for the car man, always could do a custom BUT I dunno how the BMW and the ECU and stuff works man.
So when you stopping by to drop the car and keys off?
