if you're gonna get engine management (which i hope you will), you should really consider uberdata b/c its free...and i know the best uberdata tuner in the entire world! his name on here is sohc_mshue. he also tuned "cell"s car. my car is running 6psi and it feels like a factory turbo car...its perfect!

initially i had hondata, but honestly uberdata is just as good if not better.

Uberdata is practically dead, unfinished/halfway working features, etc..

I made the switch to CROME, since I datalog with seperate software anyways, I don't have to worry about paying for CROME Pro, which just has built in datalogging/autotune..

I have heard good things about Crome also, if you are trying to go the free software route then Crome seems to be where it is at, if not then Hondata or AEM EMS! Anyone looking for turbo kits I sell Full Race www.full-race.com , PeakBoost www.cheapturbo.com and InlinePro Turbo kits www.inlinepro.com and can usually get Drag and Rev Hard. We will also do a custom turbo kit for your car

Actually I tune with uberdata and cromepro. I actually prefer uberdata just because i have used it for so long and it works well for me. I have tuned a couple cars with crome, but i have had the best luck with uber. I know the support for it is dead now which really sucks...too bad the creator doesnt care about it anymore. Now that more p72 support for crome is out now I will probably make the switch to crome for good. I simply had no luck with using the standard p30 code in crome. I found on some cars it causes a nice surging idle which is extremely annoying. People have speculated that its due to the p30 code needing a different kind of iacv. I know p72 has always worked better for me. I really do like the user interface of crome a whole lot better, but for now until I get a chance to sit down and mess with crome more on my own car with the p72 code I will tune with uberdata.

BTW uberdata has datalogging as well and I have found that the autotune doesn't work so hot in crome and produces rediculous looking fuel maps. A human does a much better job of tuning a car IMO.

uglyDC2 will become famous soon enough
Default Re: what's the best b-series turbo kit to buy?

when u do sit down to boost your car consider this

FAST / RELIABLE / CHEAP ..... you can only have 2 of the three

greddy kit would probably be exactly what your looking for ... only downside about this kit i see is ability to expand and reach higher goals down the road

full-race is top notch stuff but hits your wallet HARD

and i don't like drag / revhard due to their poor wastegate placement on their manifolds which could lead to horrendous boost spikes

havent heard anything good or bad about peakboost
