I sold my second CRX to a person from this forum when I was stationed in Florida. He saw it online, called me a few times, and really liked what he saw and was told. He ended up driving down overnight to buy it. Didn't even take it for a test drive. I guess it all depends on how much information, and pictures you show online, and how honest the seller is and how much trust the buyer has in that person.
Most people just say I have a X car with this many miles and these wheels, make me an offer. Of course no one is going to be serious about making a legitimate offer, because they're not serious in selling it, otherwise they'd give a detailed description and provide many photos.
And you're right, most people here don't have money...just dreams....or parents with deep pockets.
