Hmmm...it depends on how wide it is because for wheels to fit stock on a CRX you only need like +35 offset....so assuming that is a 30mm over piece...which looking at it now it is probably more than that..it would only need a +5 offset. But you're probably right, if he could post up the side of the widebody we could give a better answer....Kicks makes a 25mm spacer btw - I have a set of those on my car, hubcentric, they are as safe as spacers can be I guess.

9 wide -50 offset should to the trick

Regardless of style and taste .... I wouldn't so much just space on that bodykit. You seriously need WIDE freakin wheels . Like said above 9s ... maybe 8s but definately something with some serious deep lips . Flat faces will look rather dumb if poked out that far .

Oh yeah, forget about your suspension geometry, that car will but nuts to turn with the contact patch so far away from the stock centerline.
