I tinted my lights all red with model paint. No problems so far.
No problems with my smoked sidemarkers either.

I've smoked my lights in a couple different vehicles I've had never got a ticket for the lights when I've got pulled over.. The way I smoke lights is I had a left over quart of clearcoat and left over black paint, I poured clearcoat into a mixing cup and took a stiring stick and stired the black paint up, then pulled the stick out and let the black paint drip into the clearcoat until I got the darkness I wanted, wetsanded each light with 1500 grit, and sprayed out of gun n put a couple coats on the lights until I got the shade I wanted. And they turn out good really dark but when you turn lights on you can barely tell they are smoked
