just ordered an electromotive tec-3
so greaser, how difficult would you say the install of the tec3 (including all the sensors, crank trigger wheel, etc) is for a guy like me who hasnt done much more than suspension, intake installs? got access to my roommates garage which has every tool known to man in it

well it sounds like you drive a miata so i'd say send electromotive your crank trigger. they will machine it with a slotted wheel so you can move the trigger wheel in relation to the stock crank pulley. this allows you multiple mounting points for the mag pickup.

the car had race gas in it, its impossible to make a standard o2 sensor read correctly on race gas, so we are waiting tilll a time he has pump gas in the tank.

install is no worse than an alarm. but machining the crank trigger wheel is something for a person with machinst tools......its the hardest part of the install. but most honda motors have bolt on trigger kits now.

many users of the tec3 over on the miataforum and havent seen any posts mentioning unreliability, only thing ive heard is that the type of bolts you use to mount the crank trigger wheel must be of the correct length or they can shear off over time (NOT a good thing). but ive heard good things about the electromotive, haltech and motec systems
