Default just need a little advice on a swap.

i have a 93 civic si with a d16z6. the problem is i wrk part time and school full time so i am on a budget. ok so my trans is bad thats gonna be a couple hundred to replace on top of that im not sure bout the mileage on the motor, cuz i bought it frm the first owner with about 250k he said its been replaced but im not sure. im leaking oil and i kno im lossing anti freeze. but anyways im browsing for a new swap. i went on torontojdm.com i was thinking about a jdm d15b. or would a jdm zc dohc d16a be better but it comes wit no shift linkage would my current shift linkage from my sohcwork wit it the d16 dohc. they both are d series i jus want to make sure plus im planning to boost in the long run would this be a good set up to boost?

You are in the wrong section. I would ask to move this to the tech section.

To your post. The linkage should be the same on the D-series swaps(not sure on the DOHC ZC), but if you use a hydro D-series trans you should be fine.

Before I bought a swap or an engine from a place online I would contact Japanese engine Import because they are local and they can and will help you out. Look them up online to get the address and stop by to see what they have.

I agree, I had one. A SOHC VTEC would have around the same power and a much better valvetrain.
