i drive a 96 civic 4dr and i'm seriously contemplating a swap. i was thinking b-16 but i don't think it would be sufficient enough to compete with other tuners(or would it?) due to the car being a sedan and not a coupe. i was also thinking k20, but i'd have to take out a loan . i'm pretty sure upgrading a d-series is a waste of time so help me out. thanks in advance

 

Whats your goal? Whats your price limit? What HP you want? If you got a 4-door Civic. I do at least a GSR swap. If you can get a $7000 loan, do a k20 swap

 

k20 all the way. That would be sick. Not to mention pretty damn fast and reliable.

 

i was originally thinkin k20 too...but 7000?!?!?!?! if i were to take out a loan, it would probably be around 5 grand...unless you can justify the other 2000.

 

i got a 90 s13 with a ca18det .. complete turbo n fmic , everything for a swap ... 240 is gutted it was gonna be used only for drifting and racing .. but losing time ... i still just need to drop in motor thats it .. body needs a lil work .. but its gonna be light and put out nire then the k20 .. dont get me wrong i used to drive the red rsx wit cf hood mugen lip around the news .. but this 240 will be a whole lot of fun to drive .. sooo if ur looking for a good race car drift .. project let me know ... taking offers i will also drop in the motor and get it running ofcourse b4 its sold ..

ive been readin about boosted d s makin some decent numbers with those suzuki vitara pistons and some eagle rods ive seen that its pretty cheap and supposedly reliable ive seen the piston and rod deals all over fro like 400 together but im not sure if any one knows of any thing about this through out some info my ears are open i just throughin out what ive heard

 

Only if you can put vtec on the LS1 then I might join you.
