If you're ever driving through Greensboro, NC on I-40 stop at Foriegn Cars Europa...
The trunk is wavey... the paint has orange peel in it... it's not perfect. Again... to fetch that type of money it has to be special... can't figure it out.
I was shocked at the paint on modern Ferraris... full or orange peel and the composite panels were as wavey as my Corvette. I guess taking your car apart and repainting it and being anal will ruin you for looking at cars. I was really shocked to see that a $340,000 599 looked the way it did up close. I figured they'd paint them and wet sand/buff them flat etc.
Also, the color consistancy on the yellow cars was funky at times. Many of them had bumpers and side mirrors that were a shade off and one of the F430s had a rocker that was so off that my GF noticed it.

Really? I must not have looked at enough pictures of the GT500. I didn't look at the trunk. I'll do that in a minute. Actually, wait, was that something you saw in person or in the pictures?
That's disappointing

In person... the car is awesome, but it's not 100% perfect flat perfect. It's just the nature of the panels on the car. Most cars are that way when you're dealing with fiberlass and composit materials. Older metal panels will be a bit wavey.
It wasn't bad or something that would prevent me from owning a car, but I did notice it. That said, I look for these kinds of things.

Brian,
It's not at all out of reach for you to step into a Ferrari and out of a couple of Corvettes...

$59,900. There are very few Ferrari's that I wouldn't buy if they were obtainable, but there are very few that are even somewhat within reach.
Edit -> I think they've had this exact car for several years actually. I'm pretty sure I have a picture of me standing next to this car from 5+ years ago. I wouldn't doubt it.

I need to dig up some Magnum P.I. videos.
I always wanted to rock a Ferrari and a hawaiian print shirt when I was a little kid

Yes... I have learned this. Sitting there critiquing $350,000 cars was good for me
To see that even Ferrari's composite doors have waves in them as bad as a C5/C6 Corvette and has just as much orange peel and just as much problems matching up yellow panels was good to see... lazy italians
FYI that car was a C4 Corvette w/ a 308 body kit

The owners of foreign cars italia are awesome people. They were members of Waterfront Golf Club at Smith Mountain Lake when dex(rotorsownyou7) and I worked there in high school and they never had problems taking you out for a spin if time wasn't an issue for them. And there showroom and dealership is awesome
