um no? every mechanic i talked to when ever i had questions all said that they're bitches to work on. and go to dsmtuners.com and see how many complaints there are about the quality

now you are confusing "quality" with ease to work on...both of your points are wrong by the way. The engines themselves are very tough, with numerous examples out there to prove the point and they are just as easy to work on as any other 4banger out there

Evo motors are bullet proof and quality is good. I've seen 1000 hp + builds and you can't do that to a 2 liter four unless it is a good motor. Don't listen to the haterz. I have a WORKS 340 Evo IX MR and have had zero problems with the car or the mods at 42k miles.

well ease to work on is a matter of opinion and mine is that compared to a honda motor mitsubisihi is definitely harder, but you can take that for what it's worth. i never said they weren't strong motors i just said they weren't reliable and the one i had wasn't so there again it's all in the eye of the beholder.
