A friend needs help...
all this week we have been talking with our representation in australia about what will happen. we learned about 3 days ago that she will be leaving for australia sometime before feb 28.
the money raised will go to her medical bills that were accumulated and whatever is left over will be donated to liver and lung organizations for infants.

alright, here's what i'm doing to help save money..
i have a jar that i stick most of my spare change and 1 dollar bills in. i have about 30 dollars in it right now. and whenever the charity event is, i'll bring it all there.
i think its a good idea, just put your pocket change in the box/jar and it will eventually add up. although a dollar a day doesn't seem like much, after several days it starts to add up.

i have talked with jimmy and since his daughter is going to australia he feels that TTE next charity event would better serve another charity as the money situation with Gia seems to be, for now, over. so i personally want to say good luck and i hope everything turns out great for Gia. as i said in the pm let me know if there is anything else i or TTE or dragva can do to help you.
TTE's next charity event is coming in February and now i actively search for another charity to donate too.

He doesnt have the 80,000 dollars, but medical care is free in australia, so it wont be needed. Any money that he has recieved will be used to pay off her medical bills. The rest will go to charity.

we have not recieved a finalised bill yet but we are expecting it to be close to or over 70k for treatment as given thus far.
mike is right we don't have the money for the transplants and medical coverage is free to citizens of aus. this is a god send that the adoption is going thru. tina and i will be flying there soon to accompany gia on her flight. i think we are going to stay for a while and return. it is major break thru but in no way is she in the clear by a long shot
