700 and got it from the guy down the street.. I was lucky.. I have heard them go from 500 to 2500.. like any rare car if you find one with super low miles you can pay a plenty penny but if you get a ratted out 160k mile one you can get it cheap.. and then they are the 50% of them that dont run right and blow black and blue smoke and have all kinds of knocks.. and then you have the "merkur" problems.. like lights that dont work.. the right turn signal turns on when you signal left.. the radiator is PLASTIC... the trannys and rear ends are rated at like 2hp... its a merkur... you either love or hate...

its just like volvo u love or hate it the engine u can get 250hp out before u have to upgrade the fuel system or even touch it...

volvo.. owned by ford and german made right??? what simularity's... and the volvo fromt mount intercooler is a nice upgrade for a turbo ford.. a common one too... anyone read MM&FF.. a merkur with minor mods and a volvo front mount with the STOCK tranny and REAR END ran a 12.90.. eric is the man..
