That large of an amount of money should be invested. Its a great start if you dont have anything.

If your military go TSP.. open season is all the time now.

Most of them say supercharge it. Some guys over there still have the same tranny, and are doing fine. Most of them run 10 to 12 lbs of boost just to keep it safe also. I mean they've added a tranny cooler in the mean time. Most of them are waiting for the v6p tranny to come out or waiting for their tranny to die to send it off to Dr. Evil. I'm just torn between the 2 because I've been wanting to add something to this torqueless monster.

The SC will destory the tranny and you will need one anyway...so go for it.

If you get the SC, you'll NEED to get a new tranny too.
If you get the 6 speed, you'll WANT to get an SC, but wont NEED to.

Since you might not have money for both, get the 6 speed.

Or put your money in a high yield savings account, and try and add to it when you can, so you can get the cl-s engine and tranny. You'll have an extra 0.2 liters, better cams (assuming you're on stock cams) a knock sensor (assuming you didn't have one put in). Then when you boost that later, you'll get more out of it. Plus the person who does your install wont have to deal with an ecu for an auto accord running with a manual cl-s tranny.

put the money into a roth IRA.. so when your 60 you will be much better off.. than putting a SC on a car that eventually you will get rid of and never be able to get the money you put into back out of it.

I think this is the best answer so far. cl-s engine and tranny swap then s/c'er. but for now just put the money up like some of you have mentioned and let it build until i can afford a engine and tranny swap. I guess until then I'll keep driving my sluggish accord.

well my decision is to put the money up and wait. I don't know how long i'm gonna keep the car. It makes my decision that much harder since i don't have the car in my possession. Hopefully the car will be running and driving the same as if I never wrecked it(wishful thinking), and that will make my decision making a lot easier. Until then thanks for all you guys input I'll keep you all posted on whats going on.
