Life expectancy on the e-cutout motor isnt that good for a DD. they get sticky and leak....but i would recommend a manual lever that i believe Jeg's sells

Back pressure is not a good thing ever on an exhaust. Does it exist and do production vehicles utilize that backpressure/restriction, yes, but, still inefficient and not ideal on any performance vehicle.

To the OP, if you arent worried about tickets (and an open DP really isn't -that- loud imo, a turbo dampers a great deal of the "loudness" if you were to compare it to open header) then exhaust fumes is the only true "con" in my book, its the only thing that "bugs me" but am very happy with my 4" open DP.

Performance wise, you will have a much better flowing system, which allows for faster spool times and it WILL require a retune, dont be like MANY do and not retune, because of the increased efficiency, you'll likely run leaner or is the norm. So that could be a con unless you get it retuned immediately after going open DP and the most important.

The problem with a dp is your balls touch another guy's balls. It's kinda awkward.
