Default Running Open Downpipe at VMP?

If you are turbocharged, is it ok to run at VMP with just a open downpipe?
Or do they require thru a muffler system?

what kinda car you got? you probably know all about it but running a open downpipe might give you some problems with boost creep or whatever, make sure you have the proper fuel/boost management for it
