Well guy I am at a wits end. The car is 98 eclipse 2.0 liter non-turbo believe same motor as that yr neon. Well my bright as brother law tried to jump start this car a few months ago and it has since then taken a dump. It is getting no spark. The car turns over but will not start or try to. I am hearing that these have actually 2 computers. We have replaced one and we have checked the fuseable link. I was wondering if anybody else had any ideas. Or if your in hampton and cant get it running. Let me know Ill spot you some cash if you give me a hand. Im just not much of a import guy. 703-853-4282 Chris

"Well my bright as brother law tried to jump start this car a few months ago". Assuming that this statement is correct did he by chance put the jumper cables on backwards? I know a guy that did this while trying to jump start his girls eclipse and fried the ECU.

Has it ran since it was jumped? You say a few months ago like it's been running this whole time and then just stopped. If so, it probably has nothing to do with the jump start.

Try replacing the coil pack. They have a tendency to die. They can be had cheap at any junk yard. Or try cleaning the terminals on it.

Do a full tune up on that bad boy...Spark plugs.. dizzyy. etcc..

check the ignitor. A buddy of mine jumped his 240sx and fried the ignitor. We put in a new one and it started right up.
