Can anyone tell me the Virginia law code for no front plate?

Did the cop pull you for just the plate, or was it an add on thing? It's rare that they'll ticket you for just the plate. Lucky for my NC doesn't requier a front one.

Glad I got to take mine off too.

Again, I do support the no front plate movement, but that is the police's reasoning.

I got out of the ticket by putting it on and taking a picture of my car with it on and giving it to the judge.
Get a lawyer.
If your car didn't come with a front mount already; meaning you'd have to drill holes into your bumper, you might get away with it as long as you had the plate in the car with you.
Also, you can always just say it fell off the other day and haven't had a chance to put it back on.
Again; get a lawyer.
Until I read those two links I was under the impression that you didn't have to display the front plate unless there were current mounts on the car; meaning you didn't have to mod anything to mount it.

nope, you have to mount it. my car came from out of state and no front plate bracket, when i bought it, the dealer whipped out the front plate mount. JOY!!! i would say just pay the ticket. if not, take a picture with the plate on and take it to court. judge should drop it since you fixed the problem. then.... er... the plate mysteriously falls off....
yea front license plate sucks, it looks bad on all cars not just vettes and trans ams. I know two ppl without their front license plates on and so far they haven't gotten tickets. They've had their car for over a year
