I got a ticket about a month ago and I can't read the officers writing. It looks to be 21-5 1(B) but I can't find anything on the web. I am trying to find the exact law to read the wording to see what it says about displaying the plate. I want to see if it says it must be fixed to the front bumber or if it says visible from the front of the car. If it says it must be visible I will put the darn thing in the window from now on.

Man I've had mine on my front passenger window for the last 2years...nothing yet....

That is why I was hoping someone else had the code from a previous ticket or were better at google than I

 

Call or email the police station. Thats what I do when I need clarification on traffic laws. They're email isn't the fastest, but they do respond with the answer you need.

here's that actual statutes saying 1) you need a plate on the front and rear and 2) it needs to be visible. kind of not very clear on what they mean by visible (my plate is mounted under my car, and is only visible from 10 or more feet away, but i haven't had any trouble yet.)
