Default BMW Z3 owners past and present! Advice please!

Hello all, as you probably suspect I am looking at potentially buying a 98-2001 Z3, most probably high miles, and for cheap.

What are your experiences with this vehicle, what went wrong etc. I am gonna use it as a get around car, probably driving it 3-4 times a week max.

Thanks in advance.

Went ahead and found a one for a great deal. Got the 2.8 for under 2 grand, so far so good, but the car definitely needs an alignment done, but is fun as hell to drive, thinking of buying these wheels.......

If it's anything like the Miata(and it should be), it will react immediately to wheel weight. Definitely keep that in mind if you plan to keep the fun to drive factor before you throw out 15lb wheels for 20lb ones.. I only went up 3 lbs per corner with tire/wheel weight and I can feel it in my 1st gen MX5.

Otherwise it definitely looks great even in base form, and I'm sure you'll enjoy it, great price too!

Cheers mate, I want to keep the wheels OEM for that reason, just something bigger than the stock 16's for the summer.

I actually passed on the above ones for now, but am gonna keep an eye out.
