Lets see your 11 sec car.

I got a 40oz on it.
How is this turning into whos car is faster on the street? I didnt put my car together to street race. I put it together to be reliable as well as be able to run decent times at a track. Which it does, and that what i thought the OP wanted as well so i offered my input and then a few people wanted to jump down my throat about it.

Once again any car can be nice if you want to make it nice. But you are free to have your opinion.

He can't "make it what he wants" with $8k, it will still be a 4 door civic, it will still have boring eco-box interior, and it will still look like shit.
Where did i say i needed a car that runs 11s? And where have i said anything about driving recklessly? Do you know me? Do you know how I drive? I dont know what cars you mentioned, nor do i care. As to how much restoring he would have to do to make it a nice car depends on what he starts out with. He can already find one in good shape and all he might need would be paint, seats/recover. Suspension, motor swap, turbo kit he should be able to do in a weekend. Paint and seat recovering(if even needed) would depend on who he took it to.

I know how to appreciate different taste that people have into different type of cars and I understand it, but right now I'd still rather have something hard but fun to drive. As far as styling, I actually think the FC is a very good looking car stock, don't compare a $22,000 dollar sports car's styling to a POS eco box that probably retailed for...14k?

I guess its just your opinion on what "nice/fun/good looking" is, even if it is such horrible taste.
How can you say you appreciate different taste, and then say someone has horrible taste? That makes no sense. And why cant you compare a "POS eco boc" with your all mighty FC? That piece of shit can perform just as well if you put time and work into it to get it there. Go ahead and come back with saying that you can put time and work into an FC and make it perform better. Thats a no brainer. Point is, you can make any car what you want it to be. He said he wanted a 4 DOOR that would be cheap on insurance as well as fun to drive.

Congrats on taking this thread off topic for no reason. Glad my simple suggestion could get you all in such a frenzy. Yet you say im pussy hurt. HAHA the irony is too much.

Other than the seats, my 1988 sedan still looked good, interior wise.

You suggested an 11 second daily driver for the kid when he didn't mention competition at all. You really shouldn't need a car that runs 11 just to get around, I think high 12s/low 13s is more realistic. If you don't care then you shouldn't have replied when I mentioned how horrible your idea was. Right, an EF four door in "good shape" I don't even know why anyone would bother garaging a car like that, but ok. As far as the time thing that depends on a lot of different things (work space/tools/money/experience) but you're right

I said I can appreciate different taste but not everyone's damn taste. Sure it can but the FC would beat it in every way bone stock. Because an FC is a $22k+ dollar sporty car and the EF four door is a lower class economy car. The Honda would not out perform an FC with the same mods. The Honda has to have modifications made to it to be on par with a stock FC, NA or Turbo.

Buy the damn GTP already, its almost funny how the threadstarter like dissapears in these comparison threads.

Because they like it? Some people can/will/have said the same thing about your FC. I personally like the second generation RX-7s, but a lot of people don't. It's all about preference and taste. Oh, I also like the '88-91 Civics.

Beacuse you said it.

i have an 11 sec civic for a daily driver.
Funny watching you back pedal. These comments are horribly misleading. You have a car that is capable of 11.'s. Not a daily driven 11 sec car. The car is not in 11 sec trim daily.... is it.

I'm down...

for some reason ... I tend not to think so.
