The passat is b5 platform and the 05 A4 is the B6 platform. The A4 mentioned in this thread (2001) is built on the B5 platform as well. I think they are great cars. I'm a little biased, but I've know people with them and they've never had problems. They are actually not that expensive to work on and the 1.8t is definetly a great engine. I'd recomend that you get a chip and full exhuast quickly because they need the power dearly.

S4 and A4 are completely different animals when it comes to reliability and repair cost. The A4 is no where near as problematic as the S4. S4 (depending on year) have electronic problems and drivetrain problems. There was one year (2001 I think) where all the bugs were essentially worked out, but they still have their fair share of small issues.

My turbo integra gave me all sorts of problems

What "goodies" do you have? One thing that I didn't like about the S4 was to replace the turbos that come on them with RS6 turbos, you have to pull the engine...what a pain in the ass.

im not sure if its still there, but i remember seeing an off white/cream colored audi with a body kit at one of the dealerships on virginia beach blvd....it looked nice. i think its been there for a while tho lol
