I once saw a near stock GN (it had a boost contoller and a slightly wider tire) light the front tires off of the gound during a launch on the street. That car does not live up to that. I don't care if it's faster, if it can't do a little wheelstand in near-stock form, fuck that piece of shit.

The GTO, GNX and ALL other muscle cars were NOT meant to handle, but go in a straight line.
The Muscle car Era is dead, never to return. Whatever Spics point is, is his. My point is that the Muscle Car era is dead, let the names RIP. Are these "new GTO" or "new GNX" nice cars? Hell yes. But they are not a definition of the Muscle Car, which with those names, need to be.

See, this is why I try and stay out of arguements with you. Because no matter how many people bring up good, valid points, you have tunnel vision. The shit is senseless.

What about the GT350 and GT500 mustangs? They handled like a dream (for an 60's car). Do they not count?

It is my understanding that the 06 Cobra is supposed to the the fasest one to date.
What good an valid point have you brought up? You don't like what this car is named. What is your "point" to defend this? You don't have logic or reason, you just have an emotional attachment to this name. Please tell me how that is a valid point.

I named two Mustangs (which were as much production cars as the Cobra was and is) from the "Era of Muscle Cars". By your argument, they shouldn't be considered muscle cars because they handle well. If that is not your contention, then your whole argument is debunked.

Muscle Cars are not meant to handle, they are meant to pull the front wheels up from stop light to stop light. The GNX did this, the GTO did this. These "newer" version are nice, but need a new name. Its a simple mater of RESPECT. You of alll people arguing in this thread should have at least an understanding of that the way you talk about your "Mistress".
My point, these cars are not Muscle Cars, in term's, they dont deserve the same name.
The Mustang and Corvette have evolved with the times, they did disappear and then 25 years later come back as a "new" Muscle Car.
