1) Is in love with turbo 4 banger fords. To the purist, the only time a turbo goes on a ford is if it's a diesel.

2) The other drives a 2004 Mach I, which is the most disgraceful vehicle to have a good name since the Cobra II.

Much love to spic, but I don't understand where you're coming from. If it's a good platform, it's a good platform no matter what name they put on it. If it was introduced as the Saturn GNX and was built in Bucharest by deported gypsies, I would still rock one.

I could be wrong (I'm not), but I'm pretty sure this entire argument stemmed from the fact that Pontiac would be building Buick's flagship. Not about where it's made... that only adds to the original topic at hand..

 

I can understand that fact, but the various GM "companies" have been devoid of their own identities for a while.

 

It's not about good platforms, bad platforms, asian platforms, american platforms, they're putting GRAND NATIONAL badges on a FUCKING PONTIAC. How about this.. market it as a PONTIAC.. and maybe call it.. a GTO.. since.. that's well.. what it is. Now, had GTO's and Grand Nationals had some sort of partnership to begin with, I can understand.. but I don't believe Buick even started putting the 3.8t into their Regals until '76 or so..

Now, knowing that you'd rock a Saturn GNX, are you saying you would not care in the least if the next 240SX was a rebadged Hyundai Tiburon?

If it was faster and handled better than my current 240, absolutely. Who cares what badges are on it?
