i have 35k on my 04 wrx and it has no problems thus far.
dealers will always try to void your warranty if plan to mod your car anyways. theyll try to find a way to claim the mod caused the problem.

thats still capable of having your warranty voided.
say you break your tranny some how (which does happen at stock power levels), dealer will try to say your exhaust did it because of more power.
and if you get a turboback you need an ecu too since 04+ have issues with closed/open loop fueling.

Unless we're talking STi. '04 = raw.
Even with the ECU problems, the '07 with a vf40 is nice, though.
Definitely check out the classifieds on nasioc.
I really like the climate control setup on the '05+ cars.
73k miles on my STi. No issues.
Um, no.
I plan to pick up a AP v2 sometime in the near future. I'm waiting on the problems with the screen to be purged out first.

Bug eye for the win. I sold mine with 85k plus miles and never had a problem with the motor or tranny. That was knocking on the door of 300hp on the ground. As for the blow of valve, I never had a problem being open atmosphere, however your going to get a different answer to that everywhere. As for the motors, they so pretty well. My buddy's 02 is running strong, and on a stock clutch over 100k miles and modified. I would be somewhat weary of a used modified WRX because you really never know what its been through. Especially on a car that has known tranny issues when beaten on badly. My personal preference is the bug eye just because I owned one. I do like the 04-05s too.
