The driver took that assumed risk. If he felt it was unsafe he and/or the passenger should have refused to go on track.

Please show a wall thats 'safe' at 130+ mph. What Cobra said, its an assumed risk.

Yeah it seems the track if anything, was at fault to me. They should of done proper testing to ensure of the new layouts saftey. A TCS would not of done a damn thing if he had to swerve to avoid another car.

I really hope this wont affect the HPDE's insurance prices. There's probably a HPDE held every day is the US without injury. It's still way safer than driving to work on 64.

I dont agree with anyone sueing over it. Every track can be dangerous, that's what makes them fun! I've never seen a Ferrari pit out slowly, that sounds weird.

^ The issue was the flagger let the Ferrari guy out at a poor time in addition to him not accelerating fast enough.

Many on the other forums are saying far more are killed skiing every year than HPDEs, but no waiver for that.

That goes without saying."I" feel as though it was unsafe therefor "I" would not have gone out on track.I'm not saying you can blame the track or the event sponser either. You know what you are getting into when you do an hdpe and if you dont feel comfortable at any time with any part of the event simply dont do it.Obviously no wall is safe at 130mph but one that is perpendicular to the track at its fastest point is stupid,as well as a pit exit on the left side on the fastest part of the track.

also there is no way you can blame porsche .There is no law that says there must be a/h as a standard feature in all supercars

I like that the Porsche guy said race cars don't have ESC.

Also, I wonder if Porsche was made to pay the money, or did it out of good will? I can't imagine a judge would make them pay becuase they designed a car without and form or TCS.
