I think being a ricer is more than just owning a shitty riced out car. Its a mentality. Speeding through parking lots, mechanical ignorance, "wait till my vtec spools up", and actually thinking that your 17 sec piece is the shit. It also includes bad taste. THere are alot of well done jobs out there with horrible taste, non functional scoops/wings, ugly paint, body kits that just dont fit, etc. Im my opinion, a ricer is just ignorant and give both domestics and imports a bad name.Personally Id rather have a car that looks slow, buts fast as hell. I mean whats the point of lookin fast and not being able to back it up.

Well, I got a question...I have a muffler, intake, some neons on my car, and somewhat of system (reason I say that is cuz my other 10 is blown out so I have only 1 working) and I don't think I am hot shit. I know I am not. I know my car can't move really at all (it is a 1990 Toyota celica)( I have raced and won a few but I think either they don't know how to race or their cars were bone stock) but I still like hanging out with people cuz I love talking and hanging out with people and learning more about this scene. So would I be consider a ricer?

 

Like Someone said earlier. The term ricer is more of a mentality rather than what car you drive.

well according to the total tally of everyones opinions on this board EVERYTHING is rice. i have heard everyone say everything(rims, bodykits(painted/not painted), spoilers(stock/aftermarket) stickers, exhaust(cat back or tips), bodywork,paint jobs, rims, stereos, chrome, tv's, neon. so i tend to ignore any accusations of rice cuse its all bullshit nobody knows what the definition is and haters will hate on anything they dont like on your car and call it rice cause its the proper thing to do i guess

since you asked what a ricer is, im guessing you would be referring to the person driving the car, not the actual car. a ricer to me is some one who thinks they know everything about a damn car, when they really know shit. they have HORRIBLE taste in what looks good on their car, do burnouts in parking lots, ask everyone 'wheres the races at, yo!', they rev on you at lights and then proceed to go as fast as they can when the light turns green.. theyre just a buncha morons who think they are hot shit.

i think riced out cars are cars with 209486039486 stickers on them- stating every magazine they read, every single shit after market they have on it, ugly ugly tail lights, NEONS, flashy lights everywhere, some bumble bee exhaust, huge huge huge park bench wing when the cars fwd.. basically, when they add all this shit to their car to just make it ugly. its like waking up in the morning and finding the most ugly shit you could wear, thinking its hot shit and really nice.
