Default ticket question

i just got two tickets tonight. 1) speeding 48 in a 35 2) tags not secured properly

my court date is on the 24 of oct. i plan on being in cali until the end of oct and might not be back in time. the cop told me to just bring in a pic of my car with the liscense plate secured to the front of my car and that will be dropped.

my questions are, can i just send a pic of the plates secured to my bumper to the cop or the court or do i have to bring them in in person? second, does anyone have a rough idea at what my insurance would go up for the speeding ticket? and third, what are the odds of me being able to get a continuence?

i plan on calling the court tomorrow but just in case i forget i wated to post on here since im pretty sure some of you might know.

Yes, call the clerk of the court and get a continuance. They'll usually give you one without any fuss at all.
