Not my fucking problem.

See...here's the issue. Your boy was speeding and should have just pulled over and taken the ticket like a man. Let's say he was going 80 or so. He would have gotten a reckless and some of the new monster VA "fees."

Super. He's a couple of bucks lighter but hey...he's still among the functioning.

Instead he decides to run and put a whole bunch of people in danger to include the person that he finally hit. If he's dumb enough to make a decision like that then I don't need him around to make the decision that might injure me.

The only person I feel sorry for is the person that was minding their own business when they got hit.

If Ricky had been minding his own business and got hit by a car then that would be a tragedy.
Now that's the truth. I'm one of the few people that actually saw him acting as reckless as he was while running, and let me tell you I can't believe he made it that far down rosemont. He blew thru the red light at rosemont/holland doing at least 80 without even hesitating. The cops weren't putting any pressure on him down rosemont so his friend's can't blame it on them. He only had one unit and the helicopter semi close to him. I'm not bashing the kids life at all, he made an idiotic mistake which he dearly payed for. I just don't feel bad for him because he was well aware of his actions. Were the same age, even the same name. Yet I have enough common sense not to run from the law and endager mine or other's lives. Be a man, pull over and deal with the consequences.

As much as I want to feel bad for him I think I would be more pissed off if he ran into my car and fucked it up.

I agree, but my condolences DO go out to his family and friends. They are suffering because of this kids dumbass decision.

I also believe he had a suspended o.l. in va. He was probably runing because he thought he was gonna go to jail, along with mis-match information on the bike.

Nope...not even then.

If my Dad knew that I ran from the cops, his exact words would be "Fuck 'em"

My good friends would say the same things.

A lot of the youth today have been brought up in a permissive environment where they don't have responsibilty for their actions.

I wasn't.

If your dad and good friends only reaction would be "fuck em", then your dad never loved you and you dont have any good friends. I get the point that he probably disappointed and angered some close to him, but that doesnt mean they should write him off. No matter whos fault it was there isnt anything good or funny about a situation like this.

My dad taught me a lot better then to run from the cops and endanger other people.

My friends are all realists
