I'm all for people having the freedom to do what they want to do. I've never slammed the door in anyones face, but I politely inform them that I'm not interested and wish them good luck and a good day.

I wouldn't call it naivete. When you talk to them, they're quite aware of what could happen. They know this could happen. Many missionaries around the world are mugged, hit by cars, attacked, etc, but they still go on because they believe they're doing the right thing. Just like we all take risks doing the things we love to do.
They believe that they are being protected, and should the worst happen, they will be rewarded.

I had a cousin who went to Romania for somin like this and they were yelled at and had tons of trash thrown at them (somin the locals do) but they believe in what they were doing and they did manage to get a lot of people interested in their religion too, so they see it as a success.

i'll help them out how ever i can....i try to do my part..i donate and work at a local soup kitchen in dc all the time...
I remember watching this the other night...
Words couldn't come out of my mouth to shout how ....ergh.... I still can't. I just don't understand. Whether we accept their religion or not, they're not hurting anyone and mostly are very pleasant to chit-chat with. My house always offers water, food, & gatorade. I was nice enough to check out their church for a week, but never joined. Nonetheless, I did make some new friends there. At their age they never got a chance for life on earth
, but have a better one coming anyhow

If they shot those kids, they definately would have shot me as I was trying to clock them for $3,000.
My prayers are with their families.
