There is NO reason why red light cameras should increase accidents. Only idiots driving like idiots. Maybe enough accidents will keep those idiots off the road.

 

But they do, and it is not an anomaly that goes away with time, as the 10 years in VA showed.

People who run red lights need to be ticketed. People who speed, park illegaly, run aftermarket parts that don't conform with local laws and tint their windows past whatever the legal limit is should be fined heavily.

Thing is though, I can't remember a time when anybody complained about getting a ticket for runing a red light other then resulting in a accident. I know I never have, nor do I know anybody who has. VA Bch dosn't really care about the law aspect, just the money. In this day and age, who can really blame them?

I dont care about the cameras, just change the fucking lights so they dont turn red because a car is coming towards them, when there are NO cars looking to go across them the other direction.

Thats the most annoying shit in the world, and the reason I run lights, is they have them set up to where the only turn red when a car approaches the light, even though there is no cross traffic to necessitate it turning red.
