Poker for cash in the 757.
Heat,
There are only so many questions that I can answer, only because I dont know the answer. I can tell you that I am NOT paid by anyone but tips from players. If you do not tip, I dont make any money. What happens above me, I have not the slightest idea.
The tournament is worthless, Ill just be honest with you. Its a crap shoot, the pay out isnt the best based on our $1,000 gaurentee for first. The tournament entry has gotten pretty low based on the fact that people would rather play cash.
The rake is more then a casino. It had been about a year since I had been to a casino, just went last week, and I forgot that most casinos have a 4-6 dollar max.
I cannot call it a rake, because it is a donation. When a pot is won it is up to the player to hand it back to the dealer. It is not MANDITORY but you will probably be asked to leave.
The donations are: $3-$49 $2 donation, $50-$99 $6 donation, $100-$299 $12 donation and $300+ $15 donation.
We have had a few people want to run a 2-5 table but have yet to get more than 5 at one time so we havent done it. We will run ANY game as long as there are more than 5 players. If you want to run a stud or omaha game we would be willing to do so as well.
I know that this whole thing is riding a fine line between legal and illegal, but at the moment the state is allowing it. And until they tell us to stop, we will continue hosting games.
Next Friday I think we are going to play until like 4AM, maybe even longer.

thank you for the detailed response and the PM
I think it's wonderful that you found a way to run a public game like this, especially in this state. It makes me die a little inside that the rake/donation amount is so high though.
best of luck with it
