Poker for cash in the 757.
Damn it seems forever ago since I played with pocket aces... I actually quit playing because it was free poker... I would love 2 play again without playing the same old home game... So for the touranments how many chips does each player start out with and when/how much do the blinds go up?
I have a few questions. This might sound a little overbearing. It's not meant to be, I'm just curious.
1st question: I know you said standard casino rake, but the way pots are raked varies in different states. I wonder if you are able to charge a higher rake because of the charity part of this. So I'd like to know, is the rake a % with cap? Do you rake cap regardless of number of players at the table and amount in the pot?
A few things from DCG:
"No qualified organization shall enter into a contract with or otherwise employ for compensation any person for the purpose of organizing, managing, or conducting any charitable games."
This makes it sound like the DCG does not support individuals making a profit by running such events. I can't imagine what other reason you'd spend time doing something like this. Please feel free to not answer if this is something you don't want to talk about, I'm just curious.
2nd question:
"No poker game prize shall exceed $100."
Not that I'd play in a donkament but this rule does not apply to tournament payouts?
3rd question:
1/2 is the highest you run? Has anyone expressed interest in a higher game and if so do you think you'd spread something higher sometime soon?

Played in the tourney at 1pm at the place next to AIK today, there were 118 entrants.
I rarely play in tournaments and now I remember why.
The excessive re-buys really encourages bad play early on. I understand the reasoning behind it, but seeing the same guys busting, rebuy, rinse repeat gets old.
Anyways, my buddy finished 2 spots out of the money and I didnt quite make it that far (I will spare everyone the typical bad beat story
).
I really wanted to hit the cash tables, but had other things going on today. They had 1/2 and 2/5 NL.
