Check out Hague towers. That is where I live in Ghent. My rent is $1060.00 a month. But it is for a two bedroom, 2 bathroom. Gas, Electric, Water, AC, are all included. It also has a gym, a jacuzzi, a pool, and a sauna. Once you take out the price of utilities its a very good value. It is right on Brambleton ave.

That is bullshit. Norfolk is probably the best place to live in this area. The Ghent area is awesome. It is completely safe, there is a ton of stuff to do in walking distance. There are a million little stores and restaurants that all have atmosphere unlike the cookie cutter strip malls of Va Beach and Chesapeake.

Just go with a place in Va Beach or Chesapeake if you can deal with the drive.

Norfolk is not bad at all. I mean, you can pretty much tell what the area you are going to live in is going to be like, and you seem to like the place you found. I'm not sure what complex it is exactly, but it's probably not far from the highway and about half way between Downtown Norfolk and Towne Center, and another 10 minutes to the beach. Seems like a good deal to me.

Most of the Southside Cities are fairly similar in "attitudes" but each has some quirks.

Most of the time it is fine. Only time there is ever any trouble is if you come home between 11-2 on Friday or Saturday night. People park here and walk to Granby for some reason, or they visit and leave a car behind. Anyway, if you come home after 2, it clears out. I kept the S2K here for a year and never had anyone mess with it at all. Now I have the Grand Cherokee and still never have any trouble parking.
