My 2 bedroom 2 bath apt.w/ gas, water, and trash all included in the kings grant aread of va beach is $880/month.

I'm willing to bet there isn't a place in norfolk that can compare to kings grant and even come close to touching the price.

I've lived in va beach since I moved here in 1993 and based on what I've seen/heard...I'd never live anywhere else in hampton roads.

I highly disagree. My apartment is $1060 a month, and it includes everything that you mentioned, plus electricity, security, and the most central location possible. And just out of curiousity, did your apartment in Va Beach that cannot be compared to by any Norfolk have views like this in the living room and bedrooms?

Ghent\Norfolk for the win. F Va Beach.

I don't like the drive through the bad part of town to get to the good, plus the traffic around there sucks.

Have you ever drove around little neck/kings grant area? I might not have the view but imo you can't compare 99% of that city (based on my "you have to drive through shit to get to gold" theory) to kings grant.

This is all pointless becuase I plan on moving to either off shore drive or down to the ocean front come sept. and well....the actual beach > all of norfolk. Fuck yo beaches *****!

I kept the S2K here for a year and never had anyone mess with it at all. Now I have the Grand Cherokee and still never have any trouble parking.
Any covered parking available?

Nah, no covered parking available right here. I believe they do monthly rates over at the Macarthur, and that is within walking distance. We walk there for dinner all the time. There are several people with really nice cars in the lot. A late model Vette, an older early 60's T-Bird, they use car covers most of the time.
