Well if any of you guys remember i said that i was moving to norfolk area around mid summer cause my girl got a teaching job there. We were down there this past week again to finalize some things and find a place to live. The city of Norfolk seems to be an ok place but its seems to be made up of all apartments and projects. It also seems to me that in Norfolk all of the nice apartments are really expensive. I believe we found a nice apartment complex in va beach which seems to be nice and it minutes from norfolk.( Its like 10min the howard johnson on military highway). I saw alot of cars that seemed ok and alot of rice stuff also. Just curious where everyone hangs out and such. I did see a group of hondas on sat evening hanging out at a this one store. I believe it was a couple of 88-91 si hatchbacks(1 was in primer) and a newer one and a S2000. Well i'm looking forward to the experience in VA and was just curious if there was anything else i should kn
ow about the area. Where do most of you guys live in the area(va beach,norfolk)???

My moms a teacher in Norfolk. Where is your wife gonna be teching?

 

They havent assigned her a school yet. She will know in about a week. The school that we visited this past week to sign papers at though was booker t washington hs

The 757 sucks, That's why I live in the 252 J/k I have love for the 757 but it is nice to look out my kitchen window and see *gasp* a yard...haha

Depends on where you go in Norfolk. North Military Hwy isnt too Ghetto, neither is Ghent. Pretty much any high school is going to be a little ghetto... esp. Booker T.

Yea we looked in ghent at the apartments and stuff. They were nice but a little bit out of our price range at this moment. The complex we found in va beach is nice though. Gated entrance,pool,tennis courts,weight facility, car wash on site and i saw a nice G35 parked there to

 

ghent area is nice...we are putting a Gold's Gym over there....if i were you i would go to va beach or chesapeake for a home/apartment....Norfolk doesn't and hasn't seemed like a good place to live. i been in the area since '88 and my father grew up around there....it hasn't really changed.
