Default Hondata..........

I have a JDM B16A but I don't know what ECU I'm running and honestly I don't have the time to look for it right now. How can I find out what ECU other than looking at the actual ECU?

Should I go for a hondata s200 or s300?

THX

Chances are with a b16 swap it will have a b16 ecu. otherwise how would you know without physically looking, someone could have switched it out.

You're also going to need to verify that it's a OBD1 (92-95) ECU if you're planning on using Hondata.

Well, if it's a PR3, it's either a OBD0 or OBD1, because there were both. They're totally different ECUs, but the name is the same. Dunno why.
To identify your ECU, an OBD1 has 3 gray plugs on it, and an OBD0 has one black plug and one green (or clear) plug seperated from each other. Hondata doesn't support the OBD0 stuff anymore, so hopefully you have an OBD1. The OBD1 PR3 is virtually identical to the USDM P30 ECUs, in fact they're identical except for the brand of atmo pressure sensor inside. Hope you have what you need..

It has 3 gray plugs that spread apart. (i.e. to my VAFC) So I guess is OBD1 right?
