I am with Suntrust and have had zero problems. I bought my house through VHDA since it was the first time situation, did interest only loan, wrote all of the interest off in the first year, refinanced, had the interest rate drop considerably, and now I am with Suntrust, and I am happy

Next house will be built... there is nothing around here that I find reasonably priced for what I want in a house.

 

Suntrust is one of the lenders that I use along with about 30 others. So if I can not get you approved through one I have plenty of other options.

 

Yeah Suntrust has been good. I think the only issue we had with refinancing our house what the appraiser said our house was worth X amount and the bank said no it's worth X amount... which was so stupid. I came out on top with the refi for sure!

ok so they will only approve us for like 20 less than what we need and their giving us all this crap. i called cody and talked to him, was supposed to meet with him but when i called him ealrier i couldnt reach him, ill try again tomorow.

 

Its best to deal with a bank instead of a mortgage company if you can because of issues like that. But also right now the mortgage industry has alot of heat on them and has to tighten lending restrictions because of all the arm/0 down/stated/foreclosures.

 

Issues like what? Lending restrictions are tightening, but we can still get loans closed. I don't put people in adjusted rate mortgages, or use sub-prime lenders. So why would I need to worry about more restrictions? I have multiple lenders that I use that still do 100% financing and will do Stated/Stated loans. Not one house I have been the Broker for has foreclosed because I do not use sub prime. Don't believe everything the news tells you. Our company (even in this market) is expanding and we have just opened a new office in Williamsburg and plan to open another on the Southside in spring. We are doing well and can get loans closed, and on time.

ok so now the big thing is they are not considering my moms second job, becuase she has only been employed there for only 3 months. Although it is her primary source of income, and it drastically increases her monthly salary but her time there is too short.
