so im from NOVA and i went down to 757 for some parts wit my friend and girlfriend

on the way back my girlfriend gets pulled over going 89 in a 65 by a state police officer. the officer gives her a reckless speeding ticket and she has to go back to court in hanover county.

my girlfriend is very upset and scared that shes gonna go to jail or get her license suspended. this is her first ticket ever.

what do you guys think is going to happen?? thanks in advance

she'll be fine... I had almost the same situation (can't remember if it was Hanover or Henrico County), but they dropped it down from 87/65 to 67/65... I think... I can't remember the exact numbers b/c it was so long ago... but they dropped it down from wreckless... it was my 2nd speeding ticket, 1st reckless good luck!

 

i spent some time in hanover court for a following too close bullshit ticket. the only thing i can say was that i got there at 9 and didn;t leave till like 2:30 and of all the tickets and domestic disputes only like 2 people got let go(including me) the judge was a real hard ass but i got lucky i guess. dress up, be polite and hope for the best. what the hell were you doing almost 90 for? thats kinda pushing it (not to judge or scrutinize her though)

i guess somedays are good some are bad

 

thanks...shes really scared cuz she thought she was going to jail...

she was going 90 cuz it was real late at night and we were all tired and basically everybody was going about 80-85 so she decided to be stupid and go that fast
