I've never dealt with the Newport News traffic court before... I have court tomorrow for exhaust and expired registration, and court friday for expired inspection... anyways, will they let you make payment arrangments (pay over time)? I just want to pay it (but I can't afford to pay everything at once), I don't feel like sitting through court... because I don't want to miss all that time from work Can I go up to the courthouse or something and sign something? One of the clerks, who was a HUGE bitch, said that I have to still come to both court dates and sit through both sessions... which could take FOREVER is that true?

 

I'm pretty sure that if you haven't worked out an arrangement to pay it this close to the date, then you will have to sit through court.

well the stupid clerk bitch said you can't make arrangements without sitting through the court session... which I find hard to believe, if I'm willing to accept guilt and sign shit saying that... I know in Isle of Wight they will let you make arrangments w/out going to court

 

dunno about NN, but in hampton my friend had to get the court stuff out of the way before talking about payment plans because he technically didn't know how much he'd have to pay until after the judge made his decision.

 

last time i was in newport news was like a year ago for exhaust. i went in the day before i had to go to court because it was my day off and talked to the clerk. i told her i would like to pay the ticket but make a payment plan. and she let me. i know as long as its not a moving violation you can pre-pay, so i dont know why you shouldnt be able to make a payment plan.

 

maybe I just talked to a bitchy clerk... I have no problem going in there tomorrow at 9am, and making arrangements for both court dates... I just don't feel like missing all that time from work to sit through court Thanks guys! I'll call again...

 

hampton wouldn;t let me prepay for a particular non moving violation but it got thrown out in court. i say go to court ya never know might get tossed off. i know work is tough to miss but i dont like tickets

 

10-4. I've sat in been to the NN court countless times for traffic violations. If you are wanting to make payments, you have to sit thru all the crap and waste your whole day only to walk into the next room and ask for more time. You can't arrange payments without doing so, they will only accept full payment if you don't sit through court.

 

Have you gotten the issues fixed? If so prove it and jut get the shit dropped . . .
