Hall Auto has been sold to MileOne
It is official, Hall is no longer owned by the Hall's. An autogroup (MileOne) out of MD/PA/DC bought up the whole group.
We don't yet know what this will mean to our market, but there will be some changes within the Hall Organization.......good or bad, the jury is still out.
With CarMax in the area this will be the second Hampton Roads move by a major autogroup. Makes you wonder what the future will be like around here.

Dave - yeah, it has been expected for the past 10 years. It was just a matter of finding someone who would be willing to take it on for the right price.
ste - it was just announced to the Hall employees a few hours ago. It will probably be in the paper soon. I've heard it from multiple Hall employees - I have a few connections

Nothing went wrong. Mr. Hall is a great business man and all around good guy; however, he is getting older and has nobody to leave the business to. His priorities are making sure his family can live off his accomplishments for many years, and the deal he made will certainly ensure that

Can I assume that you work for Hall? Check with Sales Management at your store. You would think that he would leave it to his son, but his son has never really had an interest in the business of that magnitude.
Yeah i worked at hall for about 6 years and met his son once. He definitely does not fit the mold. I cant believe he sold it though! That must have been alot of f-ing money!
