GOING TO JAIL!?!?!
What everybody is trying to say:
everybody makes mistakes in their life at one time or another. Hopefully you'll learn from this and move the hell on. I do think that what you did was dumb, but asking for advice on drag was even dumber. But in all truth, it all depends on the judge and the mood he's in. Get a lawyer because this is not one of those situations for representing yourself. And a word of advice, don't reply to any negative feedback on here because it doesn't do any good. Good luck man!

Well.. here is the deal. You will have trouble finding insurance... period. An SR22 will make your insurance between $400 and $600 a month if you can find a company that will cover you. Also.. you will have to maintain constant insurance for a solid 2 years even if you dont own a car. If you try to just not own a car for 2 years and then get one. When you try to get insurance the 2 years will start then. So dont try and be smarter than the system just go with it. It will make things easier. You want advice. Right now.. go to a driving coarse in the local area. And on your court date be early. extremely early.. like before anybody else shows up. and as soon as you see your officer come in.. then you go an talk to him. Ask him if you pled guilty if he will reduce your sentence and tell him that you have completed your drivers coarse and are prepared to pay off your fines in payments. This will give your more on your record but usually this strategy keeps your ass out of jail. The judge with usually give you jail time that is suspended so if you fuck up again you will come back and serve that time. My other advice to you is. Dont drive again till you get your license back. If you get a habitual offender, your sorry ass will be going to jail for quite a while. Oh and one other thing... tell the judge good morning and that you would like to start off saying that you are sorry for your offenses and you are getting everything taken care of like you should have in the first place. Alot of judge's will respect a man that can admit that he fucked up and is willing to work on it.
