So would anyone know why they have income restricted housing like that? I understand the concept of someone needing a decent home that isn't making the greatest pay, but how do they determine ranges?

St. Andrews is rough as shit.
One of my coworkers lives there and talks about all the drug deals hes a part of in there.
And once when i was in high school, me and a buddy went in there and bought a gun from some guy out of the trunk of his car.
And my friend Lorie lived there and the place got broken into 4 times in 6 months.
The housing market is great, I also just bought a Condo off of Harpersville.
I live in Forrest Lake apartments, closer to city center. Its not great, but its a whole lot better than St Andrews.
I stay at the condo 98% of my time, I just am stuck for 4 more months on the lease of the apartment and dont wanna leave my roomate stranded.
So if you want a place in there, you can take over my lease cheap!
And my girl and I just got back from Georgia, looking at a few new houses out there. We want to scoop one of those up now while its cheap
3200 sq ft, 4 bed, 3.5 bath, basement, 2 car garage - brand new built in 07 - Built at 150,000 - we worked it down to 114,000. In a new neighborhood, with a huge target/walmart/lowes complex being built 3 miles away the value should rise. Georgia!

I'm done with school and getting my own place finally, I've been looking around but half of the nicer looking apartments I've seen are "income restricted" and I make to much to live there even though half of them are nicer than the more pricey places.. Anyway I've been looking at St. Andrews apartments off of Denbigh blvd. They seem pretty nice and have a pretty fair price. Anyone lived there or known someone who did? Are they worth it?

because if it's not people who are in that income bracket couldn't afford to live anywhere. it keeps someone like me who is single making 50K a year from living in a nice apt right outside base for a cheap ass price.

well city center area is ok, but it's pricey. I'd say getting a roomate/moving into a good place with someone is the best deal in your situation.
