Creeds Airstrip: Track Planning
I find this thread interesting...I'd like to offer some ideas
Figure a cost for everything as close you can...go cheap on construction for any stands (bleachers), and concessions (cheap booths), you can always upgrade later, and offer local businesses space to setup small concessions and whatnot for a fee
When you consult area businesses about sponsorship, let them know the entire plan...ie: total cost, and who you have backing you thus far, it might help sell the idea.......I'd think of it as selling a product, you basically are, and they need to see a benefit in it for them.....let other businesses throw up advertisements around the grounds for fees, that will help with money as well
Think about a sandtrap at the end, for safety...many tracks have them, and it well help sell the idea and make insurance cheaper the more safety features there are
you guys may have thought of some of these already, i just wanted to throw out what popped into my head
good luck

Take 264 east toward Virginia Beach. Take the Birdneck Road exit #22. Turn right on Birdneck Road. Follow Birdneck to a right onto General Booth Blvd. Stay on General Booth for 3.5 miles, then make a left onto Princess Anne Road (traffic light). Go to the second traffic light (.8 miles) and make a right staying on Princess Anne. Follow Princess Anne for 10.7 miles (seems like 30) then make a left onto Morris Neck Road (Creeds General Store on corner in front of you). Follow Morris Neck Road for 1 mile then turn right onto Campbells Landing Road. The Firearm Training Facility is .3 miles up on the right.

Okay- back.
My measurements were of the ends of the runways. not total space that is owned.thats why i gave runway lengths- so there is no confusion.
second order of business- ill be calling VIR- VMP- Elite Auto Collision & Repair tomorrow, as well as K&K insurance. to get some ideas of financials.
I will post info tomorrow.
