Anyone know of a place to start woking on cars?
The BEST thing you can do is just read as much as you can about how engines work, suspension works, and all that stuff. Fixing everything is the easy part, it's troubleshooting that's a bitch. If you understand how it works then you are already on your way to being able to troubleshoot problems.
no joke...if a sales person moves a car for a customer and it needs to be put back, then you repark it....you put flags on cars, put the MSRP stickers on the cars, and if someone buys a car, then you go get gas for it. you get to drive cars all day, u make good money, and its pretty fun/easy. Go around to dealerships and ask if there hierin for lot attendants. The best part is that somedays are really chill. If your lookin for experiance on working on cars, then take come classes, there nothing better.

i personally didn't have that great of an experience there. the information in some classes was good, but overall, i was paying way too much money for a refresher course on basic automotive tech. if you don't know anything, then i guess it would be good, but i would personally go with TCC classes.
huh ??? And thanks for all the help guys. Think next semester Im going to attend the tech school and do a general car class, and then maybe go into an enigne or autobody class after that.. And even though im 16 turning 17 in january Would a dealership hire me with only having a license for like 8months ????

No dealership is gonna hire you to be a lot attendant at your age. Their insurance companies won't insure people under 18 to drive cars.
Being a lot attendant can be fun as hell, but stressful too. Sales managers can either be dicks, or fun to work for. I'd spend my day having the used car manager tell me to do one thing, then the new car manager tell me to do the opposite. The lot looked like a revolving door from us moving cars around to make em happy.
Getting to drive the hell out of nice cars was fun though
